RentALert monitors rental listings across western US cities and emails you the moment a new listing matches your criteria — usually before it shows up on the big aggregator sites. Here's how it works:

1. Sign up — Enter your email on the homepage.
2. Set your preferences — Choose your state, city, price range, bedrooms, bathrooms, and amenity preferences (pet-friendly, garage, yard, etc.).
3. Get alerts — We check for new listings every 4 hours and email you immediately when one matches your filters.

We currently cover 31 cities across 10 western US states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

This covers approximately 80–85% of the western US rental market. We're actively working to expand coverage to more cities and regions.

Our scraper runs every 4 hours, checking for new listings that match active subscriber preferences. When a match is found, an alert email is sent immediately — no batching or daily digest delays.

RentALert costs $5.99 for 30 days — no auto-renewal. There's a free tier for basic alerts with slower delivery, so you can try it before subscribing. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram and it's just $4.99.

When you sign up with your email, you're added to RentALert as a free member. You can set your location and filter preferences, but alert emails are only sent to paid subscribers.

To get instant alerts, subscribe for $5.99/30 days from your dashboard. Free members receive alerts on the standard 4-hour batch cadence. Paid subscribers get notified within minutes.

Log in to your dashboard to view and update your preferences at any time. Changes take effect on the next scraper run (within 4 hours).

You can update your state, city, price range, bedrooms, bathrooms, and amenity preferences (garage, yard, pets allowed, in-unit laundry).

To cancel, use the contact form on this page with subject "Billing" and include your account email. We'll cancel your subscription and confirm via email within 1–2 business days.

You won't be charged again after cancellation, and you'll retain access through the end of your current billing period.
